Following a 2018 renovation, this bar returned with live music, monthly dance parties, karaoke nights, and pop-up events. From disco marathons to cowboy DJs, the entertainment is as eclectic as the crowd. Cowboy Palace Saloon

Location: Chatsworth

Located just outside of LA, it definitely earned its spot on this list. Known not only by their visitors, but a history of films and music videos have relied on this location to provide them with the western aesthetic this bar surely delivers. This honkey tonk hotspot showcases talent and offers dance lessons every Wednesday to Sunday. With cowboy boots hanging from the bar, cowboy memorabilia, and vintage photographs, just stepping your boots into Cowboy Palace will immerse you into the Old West.

Drugstore Cowboy

Location: Silverlake

Silverlake’s new go-to spot will now be yours too. Walk into this vibrant western-movie themed sports bar with cowboy murals setting the scene for you. For sports fans, this bar offers sports packages for your favorite teams and best seats to watch any game on the big screens. Maui Sugarmill Saloon

Established in 1976, this hidden gem is known for their laid-back atmosphere, great drinks and welcoming staff. As a known local neighborhood bar, their live music calendar is filled with live bands ranging from blues, alternative, and rock music. Stud Country is your go-to LGBTQ+ country-western dance space that celebrates queer culture through a love of country music, two-stepping workshop, and line dancing. Held at Club Bahia, Stud Country’s live DJ mixes between disco, country, and modern hits. This social dance space hosts weekly parties every Monday and Thursdays, and Queer Country Social workshops every Wednesday. The event hotspot brings together country friends, country fashion, and country fun.

High Horse Saloon 

Location: Fullerton

Taking you back to the old west, High Hose provides the full American experience enjoyable for country DJ and line dancing lovers. Saddle up on their stools and order yourself a Big as Texas Pretzel, Outlaw Burger, and more good ‘ol grub. The western loving atmosphere is the perfect place to unwind and bring on the “yeehaw”. Surf + Saddle at the Bungalow

Location: Santa Monica

It may be unexpected for a beachy Santa Monica hangout to host a country night, but The Bungalow’s ‘Surf & Saddle’ Wednesdays always draw a crowd! Grab your cowboy boots, hats, and a signature cocktail, then head to the dance floor for line dancing at 8pm. Known for bringing people together for drinks, mingling, and dancing, The Bungalow's instructor-led weekly event is the perfect place to meet new friends and cut loose.

Montana's

Location: San Dimas

This spot draws a diverse crowd, ranging from young adults to older folks. You'll find plenty of partner dancing, two-step, and 5-6 line dance sets. It's a great place to go with friends, but note the bar has a 3-drink minimum, and water isn't free. The music is lively, and the dance floor is spacious. While there’s seating around the venue, it's best to arrive early to secure a spot. Open Fridays and Saturdays only.
